Prime Ministerial Candidate of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Sajith Premadasa today extended his apologies to Archbishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith.
Premadasa told the media that he believes a recent statement made by former MP Harin Fernando during a political rally was disrespectful and had offended the Archbishop.
Samagi Jana Balavegaya national list candidate Harin Fernando had accused his eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjit of “playing politics” during last year’s presidential poll.
Expressing his deepest regrets in this regard, Premadasa seeked forgiveness from the Archbishop and stated that he will not step back from rectifying this mistake.
