The Sarvapakshika Aragalakaruwo, a civil organization that supports the ‘GotaGoHome’ people’s struggle, has called on the public not to fall victim to the conspiracy led by Field Marshall Sarath Fonseka.
The organization says by setting a date for the next major public protest MP Fonseka will put all protesters at risk.
They further accused the move of another attempt to conspire against the peaceful protesters.
Calling on the public to remain vigilant of politicians until the people’s struggle is retaken by the public, the organization urged the public not to fall victim to such actions and not to lose faith in the movement.
The statement comes after MP Sarath Fonseka announced in Parliament that the final phase of the ‘Aragalaya’ will take place on the 09th of August.
He said that the entire population of the country has been requested to participate in this public protest.
MP Sarath Fonseka further requested those heading the people’s struggle to ensure that the country is freed from corrupt politicians through the final battle of the people’s protest. (NewsWire)
