The Sarvapakshika Aragalakaruwo, a civil organization that supports the ‘GotaGoHome’ people’s struggle organized the General Conference of ‘Struggle Winning Censensus’ in Colombo yesterday.
Several opposition political parties, civil organizations, trade unions, and the general public, including protesters at the Galle Face protest site participated in the conference.
The conference was held with the aim of obtaining the support of a majority faction of the society, including opposition political parties and the public, for its planned public protest on 09th July.
The Sarvapakshika Aragalakaruwo also submitted a 4-point proposal during the conference.
Several opposition politicians including, Samagi Jana Balawegaya and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, Sri Lanka Freedom Party President Maithripala Sirisena, Tamil Progressive Alliance Leader Mano Ganesan, and MPs Tissa Attanayake, Dayasiri Jayasekera, among others were seen participating in the conference.
