School boy traveling in Bus among 41 patients identified via Random Antigen Tests in WP borders

A 16- year- old schoolboy tested positive for COVID-19 during a random Antigen Test carried out near the Bentota Bridge yesterday.

He was traveling in a bus when the random test was carried out on passengers.

Army Commander Shavendra Silva said that 41 persons who underwent Rapid Antigen tests at borders of the Western Province since December 18 have tested positive for COVID-19 so far.

The rapid antigen tests were carried out at the entry and exit points after the number of Covid-19 infected persons was found to be on the rise in the Western Province. (NewsWire)
