A 16-year-old male student from a school in Rathgama has died in a motorcycle accident.
Four students, including the Grade 11 boy, are said to have travelled on the motorcycle in an unsafe manner.
The motorcycle with all four passengers had collided with a tractor traveling in the opposite direction in the Thelikade area. It had thereafter crashed on to a nearby lamp post.
The deceased has been identified as a resident of Reggipura area in Boossa.
The three other passengers are reported to have not sustained any injuries in the accident.
The driver of the tractor has been arrested in connection to the accident. (NewsWire)
