The number of Police officers deployed to provide security for Parliamentarians has been increased to six (06).
As per a circular, the increase in security has been made on the directive of the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
According to the directive, the group of six Police officers will include a Senior Police Inspector.
Earlier, Parliamentarians were provided between two to four Police officers as part of their security detail. (NewsWire)
