A senior security official at the Katunayake airport has been arrested for attempting to smuggle out gold biscuits worth Rs. 20 million.
The Police said the suspect was arrested by Sri Lanka Customs Narcotics Control Division officers today.
He had attempted to smuggle out gold biscuits weighing almost one kilo out of the Katunayake airport premises.
The Sri Lanka Customs Narcotics Control Division is conducting further investigations. (NewsWire)
