Sri Lanka’s coronavirus death toll surpassed 9,000 today. It only took five days to death toll to rise from 8,000 to 9,000 mark.
194 more COVID-related deaths have been reported, increasing the death toll to 9,185.
4,221 COVID-19 cases detected in Sri Lanka thus far today bringing the total number of cases to pass 439,000 & active infection count to nearly 57,000.
5,858 Covid patients were treated in 13 Ayurvedic Hospitals while 4,720 of them have fully recovered by now, State Minister o Sisira Jayakody said. He also said that five more Ayurvedic Hospitals will be opened for Covid treatment this week.

Permission has been granted for respective company to import REGEN-COV, an antibody cocktail designed to produce resistance against COVID-19, State Minister Prof Channa Jayasumana said.
