Seven youth were arrested earlier today over the alleged sexual abuse of an 8- year- old boy.
The Beruwela police said the suspects had sexually abused the boy several times.
The victim has been admitted to the Nagoda hospital for treatment.
The Police said that the boy who lives with his grandparents had been abused by the suspects after being promised gifts.
The arrested youth are between the ages of 16-18.
The Police said the boy’s mother is overseas due to employment, while his father lives separately. (NewsWire)
