Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) of Matara and Hambantota W. Thilakaratne has been appointed as the Director of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
Meanwhile, former Director of the CID DIG Prasad Ranasinghe has been transferred to the Police Headquarters.
Police spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said that seven other Officers in Charge (OIC) of other Police stations have also been transferred. (NewsWire)
