The 25-year-old pacer rose to instant fame in international cricket when he picked up a hat-trick on his ODI debut against Bangladesh in a tri-nation tournament final in January 2018. The three victims in his ODI hat-trick were Mashrafe Mortaza, Rubel Hossain and Mahmudullah.
He played 2 other T20Is on the same tour but hasn’t represented the national side since mainly due to injuries.
“He had lost his pace recently and missed practice also, we were wondering what’s wrong. This is the problem when you get quick money, they get to meet wrong people” a coach attached to Sri Lanka Cricket told NewsWire commenting about Shehan Madushanka.
