A shooting was reported near the Central Mail Exchange located on D. R. Wijewardena Mawatha in Colombo today.
According to media reports, the Police stated that two individuals had arrived in a luxury vehicle to collect a suspicious parcel from the Central Mail Exchange.
Officers of the Police Narcotics Bureau who had arrived in a three-wheeler at the time are reported to have opened fire and taken into custody the two individuals.
The luxury vehicle remains at the location. (NewsWire)
