The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramun (SLPP) has issued a statement on the resignation of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
In the statement, the party has paid tribute to the service rendered by Gotabaya Rajapaksa during his short tenure as the 08th President of Sri Lanka.
The SLPP points out that the COVID-19 pandemic and the Foreign exchange crisis were the key reasons for his early resignation. (NewsWire)
