Special Police team to investigate theft of Sinopharm vaccine doses at Habaraduwa MOH

A special Police team has been appointed to investigate the alleged theft of 30 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine at the Habaraduwa Medical Officer of Health (MOH).

Police spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said a complaint has been filed by the area Public Health Inspector accusing a driver and minor staff attached to the Habaraduwa MOH of the alleged theft.

As per the complaint filed yesterday, the suspects have stolen 30 doses of the Chinese manufactured Sinopharm vaccine worth nearly Rs. 90,000.

DIG Ajith Rohana said the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in charge of Galle has directed the Divisional Crime Detective Bureau to conduct investigations into the alleged theft. (NewsWire)
