Sri Lanka will reopen its airports from tomorrow, after it was temporarily closed due to the spread of the third wave of the coronavirus.
The Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited said the temporary closure of airports will be relaxed from midnight today.
Passengers will be allowed to arrive in Sri Lanka under strict regulations.
Meanwhile a decision was taken today to prohibit travellers who has been to Vietnam within the past 14-days from arriving in Sri Lanka from tomorrow.
The Authority said the prohibition has been imposed with immediate effect and will be in place until further notice, while all airlines have been informed.
Any passenger who has been to India within the past 14-days will also not be permitted to arrive in Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, all arriving passengers will be subjected to a 14-day quarantine period which is mandatory in Sri Lanka.
