China says that Sri Lanka is given the best corporate price and the fastest delivery when it comes to the Sinopharm COVID vaccine produced by China.
The Chinese embassy in Colombo tweeted in response to media reports circulating that Bangladesh had procured the vaccine from China at a price of US $10 a unit and for Sri Lanka, it had been priced at US $15.
Chinese embassy refuted the above claims and said that Bangladesh Health Minister has clarifed last week that their procurement agreement including pricing is not finalized yet.
The official handle the Chinese embassy later also tweeted replying to a question that it’s a common practice of different price range for all pharmaceutical companies and assured that Sri Lanka gets the best corporate price and the fastest delivery. (NewsWire)
