Marking a historic moment for Sri Lanka, a female official has been selected as a Boxing Referee to officiate in 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, Sri Lanka Police said in a statement.
T. Nelka Shiromala, a female Chief Inspector attached to the Sri Lanka Police will be participating as a boxing referee in the 2020 Olympic Games which will begin in Tokyo, Japan on the 23rd of July.
She is a product of Ripon Girls’ College, Galle and has joined SL Police as a Trainee Sub Inspector in 1997.
