Sri Lanka Sports Ministry Secretary has filed a complaint at the special investigations unit of the Sports Ministry calling for an immediate investigation on the accusation levelled by former sports minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage.
Former Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage yesterday claimed that 2011 world cup final was fixed without providing any evidence.
According to a Sports Ministry official Sports Ministry special investigations unit will record a statement from former minister to get details about the accusation he made.
Sports Ministry has already initiated the inquiry he said.
Meanwhile former Sports Minister Harin Fernando also tweeted stating that a new act has been passed in parliament last year to punish wrongdoers in Sports.
