Sri Lankan Cricketers refuse to sign tour contracts for England tour

Sri Lankan National Cricketers have refused to sign the tour contracts for the upcoming England tour over the dispute on annual contracts.

“They will refuse to sign annual & tour contracts until a solution is given for problems that have arisen with new player ratings system” Lawyer representing Sri Lankan National Cricketers Nishan Premathiratne told NewsWire.

“The tour contact also refers to matters of the annual contract for 2021. In the event the central contract is not settled and not finalised and dispute is pending, the validity of the tour contract is also in issue”

“Players are available to play the England tour even without any payments” Nishan Premathiratne added.

Sri Lanka Cricket deadline for signing contracts lapsed on 3rd June after several rounds of talks failed between players and SLC.
