Sri Lankan Kabaddi player Saheed Baba sold at Indian Pro Kabaddi League

Sri Lanka Kabaddi player Anwar Saheed Baba of Sri Lanka Navy has been acquired by a franchise of the Indian Pro Kabaddi League (PKL).

Anwar Saheed Baba has been acquired for INR 1 million, which is the first time in the history of Sri Lanka.

The auction for the eighth season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) was held in Mumbai from August 29-31.

It is India’s second most followed league after the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket tournament.

The PKL which was not held last year due to the coronavirus pandemic is scheduled to be held in December 2021.

Anwar Saheed Baba who is from Ambilipitiya, Sri Lanka is among 22 overseas players who had been acquired for the PKL this year. (NewsWire)
