Sri Lanka’s official USD buying rate remains below Rs. 300

The buying rate of the US Dollar remains below the Rs. 300 rate today (Mar 21) as well, the third consecutive day this week.

The buying rate of the US Dollar on Tuesday dropped below the Rs. 300 rate for the first time since July 2023.

According to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka’s (CBSL) official exchange rates for today, the buying rate of the US Dollar has further reduced from Rs. 299.13 to Rs. 299.04.

However, the selling rate of the US Dollar has increased from Rs. 308.72 to Rs. 308.80.

The Sri Lankan Rupee has also depreciated against a basket of foreign currencies, including Gulf currencies. (NewsWire)
