“Stop killing children in Gaza” protest held in Colombo

A silent protest was held in front of the United Nations (UN) Office in Colombo on Monday (Nov 20) calling for a halt in the ongoing conflict between Palestine and Israel.

The protesters called on the UN and other world authorities to intervene to prevent the death of children in Gaza due to the conflict.

The silent protest saw the participation of representatives of civil societies and human rights activists.

Speaking to reporters during the protest, Sandhya Eknaligoda, the wife of missing Sri Lankan journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda, said: “The United Nations and other persons have not intervened in stopping the war or paying special attention to children, women, and the sick.” (NewsWire)
