Motorcyclist Andre Verissimo celebrates prematurely as he is overtaken in the last stretch at Superbike Brasil.
“I was celebrating with my team when they caught up,” Verissimo said. “What a screw up.”
Afterwards, he thought: “I’m going to be made fun of, I’m going to become a meme.”Despite his defeat, Verissimo ended the SuperBike Evolution season as champion.
He reflected, philosophically: “It’s no problem. Let’s move on. What matters is getting the champion’s title.
“At the end of the day, everyone went home happy.”
