Suspect dead: High Court closes Thajudeen murder case

 

The Colombo High Court yesterday adjudicated the case filed on the suspicious death of former ruggerite Wasim Thajudeen, Daily Mirror reported.

The case was adjudicated as the suspect named in the case, former Chief Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) of Colombo Professor Ananda Samarasekera had passed away.

The counsel representing the former JMO’s family appeared in Court and made submissions on the death of the officer.

Taking into consideration the submissions High Court Judge Manjula Thilakaratne closed further proceedings on the case.

The former JMO was indicted by the Attorney General for concealing evidence related to the death of Wasim Thajudeen, who was found dead in a suspicious manner inside his car near Shalika grounds in Narahenpita. (NewsWire)
