Tamil National Alliance, the Tamil National People’s Front and the Tamil Makkal Tesiya Kootani — together with local Tamil civil society organisations have written to the missions of 47 member States represented in the United Nations Human Rights Council, calling for a resolution that declared Sri Lanka had “failed in its obligations to investigate allegations of violations committed during the armed ethnic conflict and atrocity crimes including genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes”.
