The Centre for Environmental Justice (CEJ) has raised objections over the recent circulars issued by the Ministry of Wildlife and Forest conservation.
The Ministry has issued new circulars revoking the earlier circular limiting the size of the forest lands managed by the Divisional Secretaries and subsequent circulars issued authorizing the management of all other forest lands to the Conservator General of Forest.
Issuing a statement, the CEJ said the circulars allow the Conservator General of Forest to release lands for non-forest purposes. (NewsWire)
