Three pianos of historical value missing from SLBC

Colombo Chief Magistrate Buddhika Sri Ragala has issued an order to apprehend the suspects involved in the robbery of three pianos of historical value that were placed at the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC).

The directive was issued to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) yesterday (17).

Chairman of the SLBC Hudson Samarasinghe had filed a complaint with the Police on the missing pianos on 1st July 2021.

The CID informed the court that an investigation was launched based on the complaint under the charges of misappropriation of state property. 

Colombo Chief Magistrate Buddhika Sri Ragala had issued the directive after taking into consideration the facts that were presented by special CID teams investigating the matter.

The Chief Magistrate has ordered the CID to apprehend the suspects and present them in court. (NewsWire)
