Roadblocks will be increased to inspect vehicles travelling during the islandwide travel restriction which will be reimposed at 10 pm today.
Police spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said the travel ban will be re-imposed tonight and will be lifted once again at 04 am on Friday, 25th June.
He said nearly 20,000 Police officers will also be deployed to ensure that the islandwide travel restriction is being strictly followed.
The ban imposed on inter-province travel will be in effect during the islandwide travel restriction, DIG Rohana said.
Commenting on the Poson festival marked tomorrow, he requested the public to commemorate the day at their residences in line with the travel restriction. (NewsWire)
