Two Zimbabwe cricketers suspended ahead of Sri Lanka Tour

Zimbabwe Cricket has suspended international cricketers Wesley Madhevere and Brandon Mavuta immediately, alleging a breach of anti-doping rules.

The players are barred from participating in any cricket activities pending a hearing and have been charged under the ZC Code of Conduct. Both tested positive for a banned recreational drug in an out-of-competition case during a recent in-house doping test, according to a statement from ZC.

Mavuta, who played 26 games, including the recent match against Ireland, and Madhevere, with nearly 100 matches to his name, are facing disciplinary actions.
