Sri Lanka batsman Angelo Mathews, who was forced to withdraw from bowling during yesterday’s Lanka Premier League semi final clash due to hamstring discomfort, has been ruled out of the Sri Lanka tour of South Africa.
Chairman of Selectors Ashantha de Mel confirmed that Mathews is ruled out from the tour of South Africa with a right hamstring injury.
“Please can we have no more of our test squad injured.. ” Sri Lanka coach Mickey Arthur tweeted after yesterday’s LPL match.
Sri Lanka team will leave for South Africa on 17th December to play 2 Test matches.
