One lane of Kadugannawa area on the Colombo-Kandy main road is expected to be opened after 12 PM tomorrow, Kegalle District Secretary Mahinda Weerasooriya said.
The Director General of the Road Development Authority (RDA), Sardha Weerakoon revealed that several investigations were carried out in the Kadugannawa area on the Colombo – Kandy main road and a special statement on the outcome is expected to be issued on Monday morning.
Due to the risk of landslides, the Kandy-Colombo main road has been closed near the lower Kadugannawa area since last Wednesday (10) night.
Fruits stalls and other temporary structures along the main road at Pahala Kadugannawa were removed yesterday. (NewsWire)
