Minister Namal Rajapaksa visited the Anuradhapura prison to meet a group of Tamil prisoners who had sought a meeting with him
“On a request by a group of prisoners to meet me, I visited Anuradhapura Prison today to hold talks with them to discuss their concerns. I assured them I would look into their issues including their rehabilitation & reintegration into society once they are cleared of charges.” Minister said after the visit.
Speaking to reporters, Minister Rajapaksa also said that prison authorities are conducting an inquiry into the incidents involving state minister Lohan Ratwatte. (NewsWire)
