Police have denied social media reports which claimed that police are instructed to take action against those who misuse the “Wada Karana Ape Viruwa” song.
There were media reports circulating in social media that Criminal investigation Department (CID) is taking action against those who misuse the Wada Karana Ape Viruwa song.
In recent times there has been a trend among people, especially young groups who played President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s 2019 Presidential Election theme song in Gas queues and more recently in Fuel queues.
However, police have denied media reports that such instructions have been received to take against those who intend to insult the President by misusing the “Wada karana Ape Viruwa” song. (NewsWire)
