Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa has called on former Sri Lankan sports personalities to refrain from criticizing one another.
Speaking to reporters, the Sports Minister said as young sportsmen and women look up to former sports personalities, it is not advisable for the latter to criticize each other.
He further said sports cannot be based on race, religion, language or political affiliations.
Namal Rajapaksa said that only talented sportsmen and women will be given priority.
Stating that all former sports personalities have been invited to engage with the Sports Ministry, Minister Namal Rajapaksa said all sports personalities former and present should work together to develop sports in Sri Lanka. (NewsWire)
