The inaugural session of the 09th Parliament of Sri Lanka commenced today.
The former Mayor of Kotte Madura Vithanage, who is a first time Parliamentarian, is reported to have arrived at the Parliament via a boat.
Upon his arrival, MP Vithanage said he had arrived in a boat thanks to the President.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa had made necessary arrangements to enable the use of a boat to arrive in Parliament, he added. (Newswire)
