England captain Joe Root today had a telephone conversation with an England cricket fan who had waited ten months in Sri Lanka to see England play.
Rob Lewis waited for 10 months to watch the England team in action. Lewis had decided to stay in Sri Lanka after the original tour was aborted over the coronavirus last March.
Lewis, who was ordered off the historic ramparts of Galle Fort on Day 1, was finally allowed to watch the match after the Sri Lanka Cricket Board granted special permission on Day 2.
