President Gotabaya Rajapaksa should have lost his temper over irregularities taking place in the country, National People’s Power Leader MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake told reporters.
According to NewsFirst, MP Dissanayake questioned as to why the President did not lose his temper when there was no reduction in the price of sugar or when traders were selling rice above the stipulated Maximum Retail Price.
Stating that the President had failed to take swift action in this regard, the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna Leader further questioned as to why the President had not lost his temper when tourists were brought into Sri Lanka, resulting in chaos in the country.
MP Dissanayake’s comments come in response to the recent speech delivered by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa during a public meeting, where he warned opposition politicians to refrain from engaging in vagrant politics. (NewsWire)
