Anti-government protesters are engaged in a protest near Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe’s Office on Flower Road, Colombo 07.
The Police earlier fired tear gas to disperse the protesters, but more protesters gathered at the location.
The protesters are calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, alongside that of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
The President had earlier stated that he will hand in his resignation today, while Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is yet to respond to the public’s calls.
