A heated argument erupted in Parliament between Minister Sarath Weerasekera and Tamil National Alliance MP M.A Sumanthiran over the commemoration of late LTTE cadres in the North.
Minister Weerasekera questioned MP Sumanthiran on his recent participation in such an event while being a member of Parliament.
Stating that Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna founder Rohana Wijeweera is openly commemorated in Sri Lanka, MP Sumanthiran questioned as to why people in the North are not allowed to remember their children irrespective of their affiliations to any terror group. (NewsWire)
