Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa today briefed Parliament on the crisis faced with regard to the sport of cricket in Sri Lanka.
Stating that it is only five months since he assumed duties as the Sports Minister, MP Rajapaksa said cricket in Sri Lanka had commenced collapsing over the last five years.
Minister Rajapaksa said the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) operates under the regulations of the International Cricket Council.
He further said the only solution to the current cricket crisis is the introduction of a new Sports Act, replacing the existing Act. (NewsWire)
