The incident pertaining to the MV X-Press Pearl vessel is an unfortunate situation, Minister of Ports Rohitha Abeygunawardena said.
The Minister told reporters today that the Government has taken all necessary and possible measures to address the situation.
He further expressed displeasure over the various criticisms made against the Government by the general public, stating that it was not the Government that set fire to the vessel.
