Opposition Leader MP Sajith Premadasa today called on the authorities to arrest all members of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, if party member Harin Fernando is to be arrested.
He told reporters today that there were attempts to arrest MP Harin Fernando under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) over a statement made in connection to the Easter Sunday attacks.
MP Premadasa made the statement after visiting MP Harin Fernando who is hospitalized due to an illness.
MP Harin Fernando was summoned before the Criminal Investigations Department today to record a statement pertaining to one of his statement on the Easter attacks.
However, MP Fernando had informed the CID that he was unable to report as requested due to his medical condition.
MP Harin Fernando has been hospitalised to receive treatment for an illness. (NewsWire)
