Former skipper Kumar Sangakkara has praised the performance of Sri Lanka Cricket team in the ongoing T20 World Cup in the UAE.
Sangakkara echoed the view of most experts and fans alike that this inexperienced Sri Lankan side has impressed with their performance in the highly competitive World tournament.
“We can see these young players are gradually improving their skills day by day. I think with exposure in tournaments like this, they will further improve their mentality and technical skills” Sangakkara said
He also said that even though there is enthusiasm within the team they need to develop their tactical skills with the help of experts in the game to go further. He said that Mahela Jayawardena’s short stint with the boys would’ve immensely helped the tactical areas as well. (NewsWire)
