Minister of Public Security Rear Admiral Sarath Weerasekara and opposition MP Field Marshall Sarath Fonseka clashed in Parliament today.
The two MPs engaged in a heated argument over a recent statement made in Parliament by MP Fonseka on the release of army Staff Sergeant Sunil Ratnayake.
The army Staff Sergeant was convicted for murdering eight civilians in Mirusuvil, Jaffna.
Later President Gotabaya Rajapaksa released him after granting him a presidential pardon. (NewsWire)
