One island among the many in the Jaffna Peninsula must be converted into a paradise island, actor turned Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Uddika Premarathna suggested in Parliament today.
He said such an island will attract several foreign tourists, which could help resolve the foreign exchange crisis in Sri Lanka.
MP Premarathna further suggested creating a landscape similar to the Colombo Port City and establishing a zoo by the sea.
He pointed out that this will make Sri Lanka the first country to establish a man-made zoo surrounded by the sea and will attract more foreign tourists. (NewsWire)
