The Opposition party today called on Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena to remain neutral in Parliament.
The Speaker had called on Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Hesha Vithanage to wear his face mask while delivering his address to Parliament.
However, Minister Chamal Rajapaksa who was responding to the questions raised by MP Vithanage was permitted to answer the questions without wearing his face mask.
Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Manusha Nanayakkara pointed out this unfair treatment, and called on the Speaker to remain impartial during Parliament proceedings. (NewsWire)
