Former Sri Lanka spinner Suraj Randiv has been spotted training with the Australia Test team.
According to journalists Randiv was seeing bowling in the nets to the Australian batsman.
Australia struggled facing Indian off spinner R Ashwin in the first test and they might have roped in Randiv so they could train to face Ashwin in the boxing day Test.
According to reports, Randiv, who was playing in the Dandenong district league has now moved on to first grade, has been living and playing in Melbourne for three seasons.
Suraj Randiv played for the Sri Lanka national team from 2009–2016, and has played 127 first class matches, 12 Tests, 31 One Day Internationals, and 7 Twenty-20 Internationals. (NewsWire)
