Former UNP MP Palitha Thewarapperuma in a video post has accused Police for disrupting his food supply mechanism to people who are struggling for Food.
“I have got all the necessary curfew permits to travel to these areas to distribute these food items. Despite that Police officers are turning us away. Some senior officers are disrupting my work” He alleged.
With Election being declared on June 20th still it’s not clear how the Election law will affect to these distribution. Thewarapperuma says he will resign from his candidacy if it’s the problem to serve the people at this moment.
