Minister Wimal Weerawansa has responded to recent allegations levelled against him with regard to working with individuals linked to the foreign intelligence.
Speaking to reporters today, the National Freedom Front Leader said if two doctors attached to the party or any other person is linked to foreign intelligence, such allegations must be investigated.
His comments come in response to a statement made to the media yesterday by Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Administrative Secretary Renuka Perera, who accused Weerawansa of working with two Doctors who are funded by the foreign intelligence.
Perera made the comments, after the SLPP and Weerawansa clashed over the latter’s statement calling on President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to replace current SLPP leader Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa. (NewsWire)
