Mainly dry weather will prevail in most areas of Sri Lanka today, according to the Department of Meteorology.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces and Nuwara-Eliya district during the evening or night.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and Galle, Matara and Anuradhapura districts during the morning.
Meanwhile, mainly fair weather will prevail in the sea areas around the island.
Winds will be easterly or variable in direction and wind speed will be 20-30 kmph.
